At Braemar, we believe that you give your best care when you’re cared for yourself.
When you choose to join the Braemar whānau you’ll work alongside New Zealand’s leading specialists, performing a wide range of procedures from routine to complex.
You’ll be given the training and facilities to deliver world-class care, and the support and manaakitanga you need to enjoy your work life and advance your career.
You’ll also be given time to engage with your patients as people, listen to their stories and provide the holistic support they need.
As one of New Zealand’s largest private hospitals, we offer opportunities across a wide range of clinical and professional support roles. And we have a distinct purpose – we are 100% owned by a charitable trust that works to improve health outcomes in the Waikato region.
Leading-edge procedures, facilities and technology
People who join us from other hospitals tell us that Braemar offers a unique balance of professional challenge and supportive work environment.
Our 200 credentialed specialists work in modern facilities including five digital operating theatres – more than any private hospital in New Zealand. Some of the procedures your team will carry out are unique within the private sector. If you want to grow, Braemar is the place to do it!
Our professional support staff are equally important in helping run our impressive hospital which offers patients a five-star experience.
Many of our credentialled specialists donate their time pro-bono to support our owner, the Braemar Charitable Trust, to deliver free community surgeries. Staff working at Braemar Hospital will also have the chance to contribute their skills and time and help a great charity that cares deeply about our region.
Your wellbeing is at the heart of our kaupapa

Caring for our staff is a key focus for every one of our leaders, and as a member of the Braemar family you’ll be expected to care for your colleagues along with your patients.
